Gjallar is my tribute to all role-playing games I had the pleasure playing and my gratitude to all my friends which whom I have shared the fun.
I have started working on Gjallar in 1997. It began with several dozens of comic pages drawn by pencil. In the year 2000 I drew a three volume album that constisted of 120 pages made by pencil. In 2003 I created my first color comic book about Gjallar. It was a one volume album consisting of 80 pages. It was drawn by pencil, inked and colored on the computer with the use of a vector program. In 2004 I was asked by Robert Zareba, the editor of Magazyn Fantastyczny to draw 10 comic pages about Gjallar for his magazine. Finally the comic book was published by Witold Idczak in Komiks Forum – 14. Similarly like before the pages were drawn by pencil, inked and colored with the use of a vector program. In 2005, during my foreign scholarship, I drew another short comic story (12 pages) about Gjallar, in the same technique as before. In 2008 I decided to start a new series about Gjallar. I asked a talented witter, Jan Slawinski, to help me with the scenario. This time the pages were sketched by pencil and then inked and colored on the computer with the use of tablet and photoshop software.
